What are we doing?
Our time spent in Los Alcarrizos will be entered around a couple different elements: music, missions, and cultural experiences. Since all the people on our team are members of the HDCH choir, then a large portion of our time down in the Dominican Republic will obviously be devoted to music: whether it's vocal or instrumental. We'll be attending a music camp for part of our time down there, performing some songs that we've prepared, as well as learning some other music pieces, stylings, etc., from their culture. We'll also spend a lot of our time becoming part of the community in Los Alcarrizos, getting to know the people one-on-one, participating in some community service projects, and just showing love to them in the way that Christ would. Finally, you can't possibly take a trip to a place like the Dominican Republic without experiencing its rich culture! We'll be learning lots about several things like food, arts, traditions, etc., in order to understand what it's like living in a place that's different from what we're used to.
